Pronunciation: Cah-ree-OH-fill-een

A sesquiterpene with a fragrance that can be described as spicy, woody, dry, dusty and mildly sweet. Found in black pepper, clove, hops, rosemary, black-jack, perilla, spicebush, Indian pennywort, celery, frankincense, vitex, parsley and marigold.

Caryophyllene

Pronunciation: Cah-ree-OH-fill-een

A sesquiterpene with a fragrance that can be described as spicy, woody, dry, dusty and mildly sweet. Found in black pepper, clove, hops, rosemary, black-jack, perilla, spicebush, Indian pennywort, celery, frankincense, vitex, parsley and marigold.

Also known as a-caryophyllene, Humulene is an isomer of the sesquiterpene ß-Caryophyllene. It has a fragrance that can be described as earthy or musky with spicy undertones. Found in hops, forskohlii, skullcaps, basil, nutmeg, cloves and sage.
